Metropolitan Regional Building Policy Cohort

Metropolitan Regional Building Policy Cohort

Lotus led the facilitation of a cohort of 15 jurisdictions in the Denver metropolitan region to develop a Roadmap to Zero Emissions New Construction that recommends a phased approach to energy codes for new construction and major remodels to achieve zero emissions by 2030. Lotus worked with the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project and Shums Coda Associates to develop a regional code amendment package based on the 2024 IECC that exceeds the state minimum requirements. Lotus also developed resources to support jurisdictions in adopting the Roadmap and code amendment package including a custom ICC code, factsheets, and council presentation materials. Lotus also provided support for jurisdictions to update their energy codes.
